The first edition of the authors first regularly published book (preceded only by the Oxford prize poem 'Persephone' and by his contribution to a joint volume of verse 'Primavere', published in 1890). Crown octavo, blue cloth with gilt decorations that are repeated on the title page. The title page is in decorative lettering designed by Selwyn Image. Spine darkened and somewhat rubbed at ends. Small spot on rear board, corners bumped.
