Octavo (8.75in x 5.5in) half morocco red leather with raised bands and gilt titling to spine and marbled boards. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. 276pp. Illustrated throughout with photographic plates, drawings, sketches and illustrations of marks. Original light card cover title-page is bound in. An ex-library copy from the Free Public Library of Jersey City, NJ with gilt number to heel of spine and internally, a number of stamps indicating library ownership. Top one and half inches of spine is lost. Endpapers and original card title page are tanned. Final 3 blank pages are detached, chipped and tanned. Textblock is beginning to tone to top edge. Overall a nice tight copy in Good plus condition. In French throughout.
