National Publishing Company. 1869 Octavo (8.75in x 6in) tan cloth with gilt titling to spine and gilt blocked titling and blindstamped ruled edges to top board. viii, 536pp. Spine is fading, there are small nicks to the head and heel of spine and corners have some rubbing. Front endpaper is torn to gutter edge and rear endpaper is creased. Tissue guard to frontispiece and the tile page have a shadow of the frontispiece image. Light foxing to early pages and to final page. A tight and clean copy in near Vg condition. Price: 75.00 USD

Charles B Richardson. 1865 Octavo (9.25in x 6.25in) black cloth with titling to spine and blindstamped decoration to both boards. 386pp. Illustrations, with tissue guards and fold-out map are present. Most of spine is lost with the lower half gone and a large chip from the top, affecting the title also gone. The remainder of the spine is only loosely adherent to the rest of the cloth. Cloth to boards is worn, rubbed to edges and tired. Some water-staining to preliminary and final pages. Internally, mostly a clean copy. Price: 70.00 USD
