Oblong quarto, richly ornamented boards in black, silver and gilt with a small panel bearing the title "Modern Art" to the top board. This book contains no text, containing the title pages, six photogravures and the associated tissue guards, blank pages etc. The photogravures are entitled: Love or Country; Italian Girl; Gossips at the Well; A Bunch of Blue Ribbon; Lady of the Lake and Flower Girl. Boards are worn. Some wrinkling and water-stain to pages. An uncommon title. Presumably, in the distant past most copies were broken-up for framing.
