A limited edition of 500 copies printed at the Chiswick Press on Kentish all-rag paper, this copy is numbered 118. William Collins lived from 1721-1759. He was unstable and for most of his life he was short of money. He was not prolific but still managed to leave work that has an honored place in English poetry. Of particular note is 'Ode on the Popular Superstitions of the Highlands'; 'How Sleep the Brave'; Ode to Evening'; 'Ode to Simplicity'; 'Dirge in Cymbeline'.
